Write /etc/crypttab: add ONE line that unlocks a LUKS volume. The mapped name is sdb1_crypt, the backing device is given by UUID=, the key file field is none (prompt for the passphrase), and the options field must request the luks type and enable discard (TRIM) passthrough.
